This amazing coffee is brought to you from a very unique mountain in Central America, Mt. Santa Barbara.  Most coffee-growing regions in Central America tend to be westerly, following the Sierra Madre network of Volcanic Mountains.  Mt. Santa Barbara actually stands alone on the eastern side of the mountain range, giving it more exposure to Caribbean weather systems.  Its rich volcanic soils and its location adjacent to Honduras' largest (and only) lake (Yojoa), create a singular terroir.  It's no surprise that every year approximately half of the Cup of Excellence finalists come from that mountain.
